Hi, I’m Emily — the face behind Callie’s Candids.

I’m a couples, families, and companion photographer based in Parkland County, Alberta.

My style focuses on capturing natural moments and genuine connection between my clients and those they love most — whether that’s the person they’ve chosen to spend their life with, the family they’ve built, or their beloved four-legged companions.

My photography journey started when I was 15 after I took an elective “Intro to Photography” class in school.

I quickly fell in love with wildlife photography, spending time in the mountains capturing animals exactly as they were — wild, natural, and unposed. That love for authentic moments has carried into the way I photograph people today. I aim to create relaxed sessions where you can simply be yourselves while I document the real moments that make your story unique.

I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. When I was 19, I started working in the veterinary field as a veterinary office assistant. A meaningful part of my job at the clinic has been supporting families through the euthanasia process, which is part of what inspired me to begin offering my “Rainbow Bridge” sessions. These sessions are designed to gently honour the bond between pets and their people during a deeply emotional time.

When I am not behind the camera, you can find me on my acreage with my dogs, out in the mountains with my boyfriend on a 'easy' hike he found on all trails (my boyfriend thinks we're mountain goats I swear) or at the clinic handling all the chaos that comes with front end animal medicine!

My goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable experience where you can simply enjoy time with the people and four legged friends you love most while I capture the moments that truly matter. If my style resonates with you, I’d love to work with you and the people and companions you love most!
